It is a popular resort with 14 uniquely designed villas located in a private wooded area next to Duluth's Spirit Mountain Recreation Area, overlooking the scenic Spirit Mt. ski area, Saint Louis Bay and the city of Duluth, yet it is conveniently located along Duluth's scenic Skyline Parkway, just south of I-35 exit 249.

Each villa is a seperate 8-sided pedestal-style building designed and built by Topsider Homes and is individually owned. Each is tastefully furnished and decorated in its own charming way and will comfortably sleep six, with two private bedrooms, two bathrooms, a livingroom with sofa sleeper, a full kitchen complete with appliances, cooking utensils, and tableware, plus an area for dining. Each has a gas fireplace, free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, DVD player, central air, an outside deck, and free parking.

We are a popular facility for family reunions, weddings, and other events where guests frequently choose to reserve a group of villas.

For winter fun the Spirit Mountain Recreation Area offers 22 Downhill Ski runs, Snowboarding on the Midwest's largest terrain park, and a large Snow Tubing hill. There also are 22km of beautifully wooded Cross-Country ski trails with groomed natural snow located within 200 feet of the Mountain Villas office, plus 1.5 km of lighted groomed trails at the Nordic Center on Grand Avenue!
For summer fun there are 24 Mountain Biking trails, the Timber Twister Alpine Coaster, Timber Flyer Zip Line, Putt-Putt Golf, Scenic Chairlift Rides, Disk Golf, access to the Superior Hiking Trail, and much more!
Mountain Villas is open year-round and is a wonderful place to stay!

Up to six guests can stay in a villa for the same price as two!
Whirlpool villas are available, and some will allow dogs.
Check-in time is 4 p.m. / Check-out time is 11 a.m. / Quiet Time is 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Ski packages and other discounts are available.
Reduced rates may be available for longer term stays.
A large selection of DVDs are available to be borrowed from the office.
