The Timber Twister Alpine Coaster
is the newest Duluth area attraction, and its only a very short walk from Mountain Villas! The coaster is open year-round and whisks riders down a winding, 3,500-foot
track at speeds up to 26 mph. Riders, who are seat-belted in, can control the speed. When the ride down the 750-foot
vertical drop is over, riders simply stay on the coaster and are pulled back up to the top of the hill. It is the first
Alpine Coaster in the Midwest, and one of only five in the country.
